It sounds rather odd right!Initially it probably sounds like some weird space filled with witches and dark, depressing conversations perhaps with alot of sadness and tears.

A death cafe is simply a safe space for people to come together and talk about anything related to death, dying, our own mortality, advanced life care planning and sometimes touched with a little grief. It's not a counselling space. It's not a grief group. It's not a dark, doomfully witchy gathering with voodoo dolls and broomsIt's a welcoming space for people to meet and connect.

Let's face it, too many people are not comfortable talking about death, planning their own death or wanting to know more about the life options available to them.
